GranDesign Studio OFFICE BUILDING

Set in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, MD at 912 Thayer Avenue, this forty-year-old building has morphed from an “eyesore” to a “little gem”. Recognizing the building not only for its economical value, but also for its potential; GranDesign Studio, Inc. acquired the 3- story, 19,000 square foot building and began the process of converting it into their corporate headquarters.
The exterior of the building was redesigned around the existing structure to bring the building into the 21st century while still maintaining its identity in the new downtown Silver Spring. The building is not only home to the offices of GranDesign Studio, Inc., but has also become prime real estate. Silver Spring officials have recognized the importance of the project, and as such are treating it as a “poster-child” for the Silver Spring Revival Project.
